In addition, the life span of the 12v LED Lights does not decrease by frequent switches. Light-Emitting Diodes can be used in RV, Marine and Outdoor Landscaping projects. Solid State Lighting products are safer than the halogen bulbs because the MR16 LED Lights do not get hot and have no glass to break. Our Dimmable LED 12V bulbs with MR16 base are compatible with most traditional dimmers. The dimmer can be for line voltage – connected before the 12 volt transformer. For low voltage DC applications we supply 12 volt LED Dimmer. For your convenience we sell MR16 sockets that can be used to replace heat-damaged sockets from halogen lamps, or as an economical way to install new MR16 LED Bulbs. Some new electronic transformers may not operate correctly if connected to only one or two 12V LED Bulbs because they are designed for higher power consumption. However, if you connect in parallel more bulbs to the same transformer, it will reach the point where the power usage will be high enough. All magnetic transformers operate flawlessly with 12v LED Lights. The Light-Emitting Diode needs DC (direct current). 12 volt LED Bulbs that run on AC have built-in rectifier to convert it to DC. All MR16 LED lamps have internal driver to regulate the current. This driver can be designed for DC (the simplest), AC, or to be dimmable (the most sophisticated kind). The quality of this driver is very important because usually the life span of the whole SSL bulb is limited to the life of the driver. Provided with proper heat management and correct voltage, the LED chips itself are very robust and their rated life span is up to 50,000 hours.
